web4 is a start up software house developing a new generation business management application using MS SQL Server 2008 & Visual Studio 2010; C# with WPF; ASP.NET with MVC & jQuery + more.

This project will build on previous Windows & web application development, starting from the ground up with solid application & database design to end up with a resilient revenue generating product.

The web & Windows applications will share business objects (models) and databases where applicable, but won't necessarily duplicate use cases in all areas.  The two infrastructures will be designed to complement each other, but to stand on their own as fully-fledged applications.  There are aspects of the planned solution that do not lend themselves to web deployment; perhaps due to security issues, or purely practical ones.  There are other elements that could only exist in a web domain.  Most of the application will sit in both domains, and will be duplicated in an intuitive way.
